The Duck and Deer Season is over…finally caught up on sleep! We are back!

First of all I want to apologize for not keeping up with the website during this past season.  This season was one for the books.  This season set the record for the hardest season that my fellow B.A.D. Crew members and myself (especially myself) have endured.  Im sure we talked about not being able to catch a break more than our share during the season, but we stayed on the grind and managed to put a few good...

A Louisiana Opening day Public land Teal hunt; B.A.D. Sportsman Style

The early teal season opened a few weeks ago across the Bayous of Louisiana. This was a hunt that I had been looking forward to for many months, but drought conditions across the South had me wondering if we were going to be able to fire a shot at a Blue Winged Teal come daylight. My Cousin Kane, and good buddy Mitch who live in the area we were planning to hunt spent the week prior scouting all of the public...

Alabama Gator Hunt Part 2

We heard rumors of hunts in other parts of Alabama, and Florida where the hunters ride right up to the Alligators and put a hook or an arrow in them as they swim under the boat.   We learned that it was much harder to hunt the elusive lake Eufaula Alligator. Russ and I had been fishing out of two boats to accommodate the number of people that wanted to come along as an assistant, but by the third...

Summer striper on Lake Martin

Summer has hit strong and the striper have moved into their summer pattern. Unlike most fisherman on the lake who troll deep water for stripe, I take a different spin on tactics. First off, it is important to note the impact fisherman make on stripes during the summer. Through studies done at Auburn University as well as our own personal studies with BAD Sportsman, we have found the mortality rate...

Summertime Bass on Lake Guntersville 6/25/11 fishing report

The Weather today at Lake Guntersville, AL was 94 deg, 5 mph wind out of the SW and 40% chance of thunderstorms that were nowhere to be found.  Dad, Eric, a buddy of mine and I had a good fishing day even if the fish were not tearing it up.  We started fishing  drop offs along the main river channel 18 feet deep at 1 oclock and immediatly put two 15 inch bass in the boat on a bomber fat free shad...
